Robert Bernstock Tackles New Ventures
Robert Bernstock has spent his career honing a variety of skills. He served as a consultant and business leader for decades, receiving endorsements for his wide range of capabilities. Some of those include team building, innovation, strategic planning, leadership, negotiation, organizational development and change management. And he’s used these learned skills to help companies, particularly in leadership needs. From 1995 through 2010, Bernstock acted as executive vice president, president or chief executive officer for three Fortune 1000 companies. He also was president of the United States’ largest federal government agency, not to mention many placements among boards of directors across both public and private companies.
In 2011, Bob Bernstock took on a new industry. He signed a five-year consulting agreement in February of that year with Central Garden and Pet Company. Central Garden and Pet is a leading national marketer and producer of branded products for the lawn and garden market as well as the pet supplies market. This was new ground for Bernstock at that time, but he applied his many skills and his previous experience to the role. His consulting agreement completed in January 2016, following five years of providing feedback, strategic consulting, organizational assistance and more to the business.
